Personal Context Reader
Privacy policy
Effective 29 October 2026. This policy describes the personal-use Gmail reader maintained by the owner of this domain.
Data accessed and purpose
With the account owner's authorization, the reader can access Gmail message headers, senders and recipients, subjects, message bodies, labels and attachments, as needed to search correspondence, answer the owner's questions and support personal project work.
The intended configuration requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly. This permission applies to the authorized mailbox; a search filter or label does not restrict the underlying Google authorization to only those messages. Sending, deleting and modifying mail are outside the authorized scope.
Local storage and retention
OAuth client configuration and access credentials are stored on the configured computer outside the personal notes repository and its document-sync folders. The CLI's credential storage and the operating-system account controls protect access to local credentials. Access credentials remain until removed or revoked.
The reader retrieves information on demand rather than creating a bulk mailbox archive. Downloaded attachments, tool output and any extracts the owner chooses to retain remain in their selected locations until removed. Sensitive originals and authentication credentials must stay outside the notes repository.
AI assistance and disclosure
When the owner requests AI assistance, selected email content, attachments or derived information may be transmitted to the chosen AI provider to complete that request. That provider processes the submitted information under its applicable terms, retention settings and the owner's account configuration. This means use of a local reader does not guarantee that email content stays on the computer.
Use of Google API data for advertising, sale, unrelated profiling or training general-purpose AI models is not authorized by this integration. Before providing Google API data to an AI service, the owner must choose a service and settings that exclude such data from general-purpose model training.
Google API data is handled according to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Public website
This informational website does not request Google passwords, receive Gmail tokens or display mailbox contents. It contains no application analytics or tracking scripts. Cloudflare hosts the website and may process ordinary request metadata, such as IP addresses and request times, for delivery and security under its own policies.
Control and deletion
The owner can revoke the app's permission in Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents further authorized access but does not erase copies already downloaded or sent to another service. Remove local credentials, downloads and retained extracts separately; manage AI-service copies through that provider's deletion controls.
Changes and contact
This policy must be updated before materially changing how Google data is accessed or used, with renewed consent where required. For questions or deletion requests, contact the maintainer through the support email shown on the app's Google authorization screen.
